How do I borrow a library book?

Answer

In order to borrow books from the Keyano Library, you will need a Library Account (NEOS) for students and employees, or a The Alberta Library (TAL) account for community members.

A NEOS account is automatically created for Keyano students and employees. If you need your PIN, you can drop by the Library Information Desk or you can create your 4-digit PIN online.

What is my username/barcode?

Your library username/barcode is your library card number, which is the entire number listed on the back of you Keyano ID card. If you do not have a physical ID card, you can easily create your library card number using the following information:

Keyano students:

Your Library card number is 24917000 + the 6 Digits of your Keyano ID.

Example:
Your Username (barcode) is: 24917000XXXXXX
Your PIN: use your student email (@keyanomail.ca) and your Username (barcode) to generate your 4-digit PIN online.

Keyano employees:

Your Library card number is 2491700000 + the 4 Digits of your Keyano ID (2491700000XXXX).

Example:
Your Username (barcode) is: 2491700000XXXX
Your PIN: use your employee email (@keyano.ca) and your username/barcode to generate your 4-digit PIN online.

Community members:

The Keyano Library partners with TAL to provide limited access to print materials from our library as well as all partner TAL libraries. TAL membership also allows access to Keyano Library online resources from the Library premises.

To enroll in a TAL membership you will be required to provide a valid government I.D. in person to the Library Information Desk.
