How do I share my screen in Teams?

Answer

Once your Teams meeting has begun, you can share your screen with others in the meeting.

To share your screen:

1. On the main screen of the meeting you will find the share button in the toolbar located in the top right corner.

2. The drop down menu contains options for what content to share. 

  • Option 1 - shares everything you open on your single computer screen. If you are using 2 screens, you can chose which screen to share.
  • Option 2 - shares a Windows application (when using one screen). You can select one application to share on the screen.
  • Option 3 - shares a whiteboard.

3. You will see a red highlight around the screen that is being shared

 

4. When you are finished presenting, you can stop sharing your screen by clicking on the  

located on the minimized screen or select "Stop presenting" on the toolbar at the top of your screen.

Tools you can use while sharing your screen:

  • mute/unmute yourself using the mic icon.
  • open/close your camera using the video symbol.
  • stop sharing your screen by clicking on stop sharing button.
